Default Purchasing a 2009 RXV - any good?

I just sold my 1987 EZGO Gas Two Stroke Cart. Tomorrow I am going to look at and likely purchase a 2009 EZGO RXV, it has a front windshield and a club cover on the rear. The cart has brand new batteries. Are these good carts - anything I should look for?

they are ok until you get to highly modin the cart. that cart is AC driven and the controllers dont like big heavy wheels and tires. I can't tell you how many i have repalced due to big tires.

they are pretty good other than that. Pretty cool and have all the pwr you will need. they all have limited slip rear ends. accessories are a bit more pricy than the TXT body style, but alot of accessories look better too.

We like ours. The controller can be reprogrammed to increase the top speed to 19.5 MPH if it hasn't been done already. Our dealer did ours. We bought ours used recently as well, but still has the original 2009 batteries.

These have a soft acceleration curve off the line. After talking with the dealer, and talking with E-Z-Go, there's no reprogramming it for a faster take off. It's fine, just not going to win any races, but that's not what I wanted.

After spending many hours on various forums, the biggest failures appear to be parking brakes, and solenoids. More of an issue in 2008. Did not find many failures of controllers or motors.

I'll be installing a DC-DC converter to reduce the 48V to 12V for accessories. The hardware arrived yesterday, and started wiring it on the bench last night.

Folks on the Villages forum are putting LOTS of miles on these daily (30-50). One person put over 10K miles on his before needing a new battery set.

I use mine around the property for yard work, and periodically drive it around the neighborhood. Eventually I will take it when we go RVing with a 25' travel trailer. It will fit nicely in the back of our F150. Since it's still stock, it will fit between the wheel wells, and just fit in the 6.5' bed.

I might eventually paint it another color than grandpa's hunter green. But leave it pretty much stock as it does everything I want as is.

Hope it works out well for you too.
