Re: Werker Battery's
Nah....Snuffy, I was just kidding you. Don't get that "UH-OH" lump in your throat. BBB was bought out by EZ-GO, so if you have any problems, if they can't be fixed by the brain trust here (and I do mean that in the most dignified way.....these guys are good!!!) then EZ-GO should be able to help you.

Re: Werker Battery's
In keeping with the battery discussion, are trojans still the way to go or is there a good substitute?

Re: Werker Battery's
There are more differences between the the various grades of batteries within the same brand than there is differences between the same grade in the various brands.
A premium grade GC battery sold by a national chain store, will outperform and outlast an economy grade Trojan battery. Battery buying in a nutshell: Buy the most Amp-Hours you can afford at the best price you can get locally. |

Re: Werker Battery's
I have 8 6V T-105's in my EZ-GO cart, and in the dead of winter hunting I travel wherever I want to go and I have yet to get below half charge on my meter.
My previous batteries were Excides, 6 8V batteries and I had to be careful of how long I stayed out or I would run out of power. FWIW Dave |

Re: Werker Battery's
Quote:
Your previous 6 X 8V battery pack was either 170AH or 150AH, while your present 8 X 6V battery pack is 225AV, so you now have either 32.4% or 44.2% greater storage capacity than you had before. Plus, the former battery pack most likely had some aging and the percentages are comparing new batteries to new batteries. Here is a list comparing four dozen 48V battery packs. |

Re: Werker Battery's
Thanks for the reference JohnnieB. Your probably right on the nose with the aging part and for sure on the money with the chart. The result of the new batteries is I'm a much happier cart guy! And that's why I spend the $$$ to get there!!
Plus, I come to this forum to post questions and read tin hat guys answers to questions 'cause you guys really do know what your doing. Without a forum like this, I would be hunting from a big 'ol Silverado. Not much fun in that. Dave |
