Help build my series cart .
First post and new to carts. I have what I believe is a 96 txt series cart. burnt a battery post first week and now have noticed one battery runs down quicker than the rest. so I plan to go thru all the electric component other than motor. so for now I may get a used battery for temporary fix to keep using cart till I get all parts rounded up here's the list .
1 alltrax 500 amp controller 2 400/1000 solenoid 3 upgrade fnr switch 4 2ga cables. so what else other than fresh t125 batteries do I need? |

Welcome to BGW
sounds good, are you putting new batteries in this build? because if you are it's time to go to 48 Volts |

Re: Help build my series cart .
I'm buying everything that's capable of 48v. just not sure if the extra 5-600 dollars will be available at the same time for 8 batteries and a charger. can the transformer be swapped in a 36v charger to convert it to 48v?

Re: Help build my series cart .
well you wouldn't need 8 batteries....you could buy 6 8v batteries, which will sit in the same space as your 6v's........but if you are going to get a new set of batteries, go to 48V......I couldn't at the time.....but will next go around.

Re: Help build my series cart .
You can but you have to buy another circuit board to make it work if it's not on a CC, and it around $180 for that part
Here's one brand new http://www.cartsunlimited.net/48v_Battery_Charger.html |
