Default 2009 yamaha drive (gas)barely moves

I used it today around the yard and it was fine, I bring it in the garage to go get something and will barely move, it just crawls, I need to push it to actually back back it up where I usually store it.

It ran a few times this winter as I have a big shop and I use inside.

I check for spark, its fine.

I checked the fuel pump, fuel is coming out.

compression is perfect. cart is mint.

could the carb be dirty?

When you say barely moves..... Give us a few more details. When you press the pedal does the engine fire over and the cart moves or is just the starter generator turning the smaller belt?

I had a 2010 model that had a cpp performance belt which is wider and shorter than an oem belt and with just the starter turning it would allow the cart to creep forward at a turtle pace when the engine would not fire. The culprit was my carb was dirty and plugged with what looked like orange silicone balls. Culprit was ethanol gas that was old. Cart ran fine all day and wife went inside to get a drink. Came outside and no go. I disassembled the entire carb and in the bottom of the bowl was many of these balls of gunk. There is a tube inside the bottom of the bowl that requires a long flathead screwdriver to be able to remove the jet and it has many tiny holes around the tube and all were clogged. A good cleaning and cart was back to normal. Could be your problem

It barely goes forward, it turns over, but Im not entirely sure if its firing up or if its only the turning over of the starter that makes the belts make it move forward... If this is actually possible.

Im going back to the shop later and Ill jack the rear up to see its actually firing up.

theres gas coming out of the pump, the filter does look dirty

I just don't know enough about carts but Im pretty good with snowmobiles.

not sure if theres fuses or other components that could give the same symptoms

Not fuses, it has spark & cranks over, thats got the electrical portion covered. Seems like lack of fuel delivered from carb could be problem (not lack of fuel delivered TO carb). Spray a shot of ether or carb clean or brake clean down carb hole. If it briefly fires up, the carb is likely gunked up.
