Default 2001 G19E Tail lights

Brake lights, turn signals and headlights come on but tail lights do not. Have checked bulbs and they are OK. Also, indicator light on headlight switch does not come on. Have tested for 12v there and it is missing also.

How did you test the bulbs? Are you getting 12v at the running light socket? If the brake lights work are you sure you have the correct bulb? I think it should be a 1157 with 2 contacts.

If the headlights come on you would seem to have 12 volt power into and back out of the light switch. The indicator on most of those switches used the same 12 volt source, but a separate terminal on the switch provides ground to complete the circuit and light the indicator. is it a dash mounted switch? Like a rocker or toggle? How many wires & how many terminals?

I misstated the issue on the switch indicator light. It does come on, just not bright enough in the daylight. These are factory installed lights, but the wiring diagrams do not show any wiring details for the lighting system.
