Default G16 Max Tire Size w/4'' Block Lift

I am ready to step up the tire size to drop a few RPM on the street on my G16. I would like to know what size tire can I run without rubbing if I use a 4'' block lift? (which I already have)

I have already went through clutches and belt in prep for larger tires.

I was thinking 22'' but didn't want to rub...

TIA Al

20 inch tires are the biggest you can run on a 4 inch lift I believe. You will need the 6 inch lift for 22 s . Now is the time to decide on whether to spend money on the lift with 22 s or put 20 s on and get a higher gear set .

Remember, going up in tire size will take away low end power. A power spring in the secondary clutch will help.

And I agree, 20" is about it with the 4" lift.

Thanks for the replies guys. I’ll do the math and see if 20” is enough rpm reduction/speed increase. Since I upgraded the clutches including the machined secondary with stiffer spring this thing feels like it will climb a wall. I just need about 5 more mph for street use without any more rpm.

Thanks, Al

Stock gears and high rpm. Great low end, too. The speed is there, but I really don't need it. With HS gears, this cart would fly on 20" tires.

Being professionally built by a Yamaha expert, with top quality upgraded parts makes a big difference.
