Do you have the negative charger wire connected to the shunt? I’m going to guess not.

The backlighting on my screen flashes/fades on and off (not the display just the backlight) and it shows positive wattage/amperage going into the battery when it’s plugged in.

So does mine.

All current, charging and discharging should go through the shunt. The Renogy will then count up toward max aH as charging progresses.
