Default Progress so far w/pics and ground wire question

Well I have made alot of progress in the last couple weekends on my '08 CC DS. I installed the All Sports 6" lift kit, 12" ITP SS112 wheels and 23" Duro tires. I definitely had a few things to contend with...made a snubber extension ala Lockman's recipe, replaced a couple fuel lines, and have to order that B&S intake manifold to reroute the air hose from the filter box. I still need to replace a ground line...anybody know if it has to be alumninum wire??

How long did it take you to put the lift on and did you replace the shocks? Your cart looks really nice, where did you purchase your tires & rims from?

Lookin' good Goof!

A braided ground cable is always recommended, (for flexibility)
But, I think a piece of good welding cable should be flexible enough for that application!

It probably took me 8 hours the first weekend and about the same this past weekend. If I had to do another one, I could probably do it in half that time or less...it always seems to take alot more time the first time you do something you are not that familiar with. My cousin always used to say "you go to school" the first time you do something. I also am a little on the finicky side, just ask my wife...so I spend a lot more time than most people, figuring how things work and trying to do it the right way the first time, like someone on this forum has a quote that says something like, "If you don't have the time to do it right the first time, when are you going to have time to do it again?".

I did not replace the shocks, yet..4Vertical told me I may need to, but to try it out first over different terrian to see if it bottoms out and if so I may want to go to longer automotive shocks. Here's a picture of the shock on the right rear.

I got my lift kit, tires and rims from one of the site sponsers, 3R in Barberton, Ohio, not far from me and the people there are real nice.

I just went to auto zone and bought a battery ground wire, already has ends on it and can get in different leingths. I've never had any problems with it.

Thanks Lock, let me know if the engine position looks right with the extension I made.

If I gotta copy, seems like you are the guy to copy on the CC DS. Most of the questions I have asked on this forum either come back with an answer directly from you or somebody refering to one of your threads as the best option to take. Now I have to get that B&S intake manifold to re-route the air intake hose...maybe I should paint my cart black, get some black and white seats and call it the Lockman II?

Looks tough! Nice Job! I go to 3R all the time, great people up there. Shawn really knows his carts if you ever have a question on something he's the one to go to! Nicely done!
