![]() Hello all I just bought my first cart. It has a newly rebuilt engine new carb and belts. It runs great, just sometimes it takes a couple of seconds before it starts. You press the pedal, and nothing for 2-4 seconds then it atempts to start and fires up. The guy I bought it from said he thought it was the solenoid. Any help would be greatly apprecitated.

![]() Start by cleaning your battery terminals really well. It could be worn brushes in the starter/generator too.

![]() It doesn't take much of bad connection on a G9 to kill it. No matter what happens with your cart, always start the most simple things first. I've learned this the hard way.

![]() Thanks again, I have to rewire alot of it anyway, so I'll go through and make sure all the wires have good conections. He did alot of splicing without even crimping, just twisted and taped.

![]() In that case it may be wise to make up a new wiring harness. It takes a little time but can solve many issues. I made one for mine and just spliced in all the little connectors for everything. I just used different colored wire from an auto parts shop. Layed out my old wiring harness on a table and made up a new just like it. Can't remember what guage wire I used but it was little larger than factory. And this is just a thought if you have several spliced connections here and there.

![]() That sounds like a good winter project, after I get this thing painted. Does anyone know if different seat covers will fit the G9. It looks as if the EZGO MARATHON is a little bigger front to back and side to side than the G9. I can't seem to find the two toned seat covers for the G9???
