G2 battery charging question.
Hi, I am having trouble with battery charging. Have new starter/generator, new voltage regulator. My question is does the stop/start switch have anything to do with charging battery?

Re: G2 battery charging question.
No.. ground the green wire straight to the battery coming out of starter generator put it in nuetral and go to wide open throttle with a volt meter directly on the battery if it reads 16-17 volts than your voltage regulator is bad if it reads around 12 volts the starter generator isn't functioning properly I know you said they were new but there has been people on here that have had bad aftermarket parts right out of the box

Re: G2 battery charging question.
If I only had a dollar for every Yamaha that charged at 16v, I could retire now.
