Default Yamaha G1 compression issues

Hi I have a Yamaha G1 with compression issues. The cart was given to me and I'm trying to get it running again. My first compression test was at 60psi. So I bought and replaced the top end with new piston and a new head. I also replaced the crank seals. After installing the new parts I did another compression test and its still at 60psi. Im lost of what to do next any help would be appreciated.

Here is where I would start...

check the head and base gasket.
check head for warpage.
Make sure the piston is not backwards.

And make sure you are holding the throttle wide open with your fingers while testing compression. if the throttle plate is closed compression numbers will be low. Also the piston rings will need a little time to seat and achieve correct compression numbers as well.

Ok just checked and the piston in on correctly. I replaced both top and bottom gaskets. Still same issue. Could I have bought a faulty top end kit?

Update I found that when I installed it I did not put back the reed cage back on the intake. I installed it and it’s running.
