Default rear fluid in a gas 99 club car

i have seen some people say used 80/90 i have seen sae 30, so what does the manual recommend???? sorry to ask but my cart was purchased used and didnt come with the manual!!! dont know if this will help, but i live in michigan, so looking for any input on this cause I would like to mess around with it in the winter too!! thanks in advance!!!!

A gas Club Car is one of the few that does call for 80/90 gear oil .... If you are dumping it all for a change, I suggest something synthetic

i just changed my rearend oil today with 80-90 and as i was filling the top it started flowing out of the filling point then i quickly put the bolt on and tightened it. I did this right.....right???? lol

yes you did it right, but the correct level is to get it to the bottom of the fill hole, were it will just barely flow out, not pull the plug and have it pour out. this way it wont look like its over full and try to find a way out, like wheel sealls, or the vent tube, or a weak sel holding the case together. if your really worried about it, just put a pan under it, open the fill plug and let it drain, the replace it, and voilia! cause im surer you have already drove it, to get it plashed around and mixed with the residue from the old fluid, and to fill the cavities not filled with the fill method(like the wheel bearings).
