Re: E-Z-Go Speaker Installation
I did what Dodgefather did except to stay away from the cupholder drain holes I pushed the speaker openings as far aft as I could and then cut the end of the speaker grill on a chop saw to square off that end that touches the floorboard. (just the plastic, not the grill itself).....
The speaker holes are probably best to be cut from inside of the cowl area which means taking off the cowl to install..... My speakers are el-cheapo Walmart ($24) 5 1/4"....... |

I did what dodgedather did and mounted under the drink holder. I just moved mine closer to the floorboard and trimmed the plastic piece with my dremel. Sound is awesome just make sure u measure three times and cut once. I actually cut small and sanded the opening till th speaker fit in.

Re: E-Z-Go Speaker Installation
Here's my set up. A free CD unit from a cash for clunker trade-in. Pair of 5.250" mids from ebay $17. A Pair of motorola tweets,an old amp, and 2) 8" bazooka tubes I had laying around. A $20 lawn mower battery from the parts store. I also installed a relay to turn the radio on when you turn the key.
