Sparkling wire

I have a 2001 36 volt converted to 48 and there is a wire with a fuse that goes to the positive of battery 5 but any time that I disconnect it to work on something it sparks and I could hear something clicking. Can I move this wire to the positive of another battery to see if the same thing happens because that battery and number 4 gets warmer than the others when charging the car.

I do not mean to sound stupid but....Where does it run to ??

I don't really know because it goes under the batteries to the front and I haven't being able to follow it properly. All I know is that it has a fuse receptacle with a fuse in it.

If it is fused and going to the front, I would guess it is for a stereo or lights.

Some light kits have a relay in them and that might be clicking when you power up. I would see if there is a negative wire trailing with it first. If so, see how many batteries they are "jumping" to attain a certain voltage. It may be a light kit that is using 2 of your batteries to get 16 volt. If you jump to another battery, you could get too much voltage and burn something up.

Trace the wires down and let us know where they go before moving anything.

And that was the last we ever heard of him........guess the wires ate im.

I took a couple of days off and haven't being able to check the wire to see where it goes but I should be back home sometime tomorrow and will do it.

I disconnected the wire and when I put it back the brake lights turned on for about 15 seconds and that normally happens hapens when you put the car in parking. So it seems that the wire is for that.
