86' Club Car with Suzuki 230cc
I bought an 86 electric club car for $175. I converted it to gas, with an 11hp briggs and straton. Did about 20mph. Then it caught fire, so I lost the engine. Now I have a Suzuki 230cc 5 speed. Does about 30mph. I'm installing a Dodge Raider body on it, which I'm fabbing up soon. About 30% reduction in size. Im thinking of stretching it, maybe even have a backseat. Basically, I want to make a mini-suv lsv. Ideas?

Re: 86' Club Car with Suzuki 230cc
Wow. Lots of work. I think I would look for some sort of kit to reduce the amount of fabrication. No, I have no Idea where to start looking for a kit like you're asking for...
Post some pictures if you make some progress. |

Re: 86' Club Car with Suzuki 230cc
I started fabbing the body. On the list:
Finish fabricating body Stretch the cart about 2.5ft Widen cart about 1 ft Replace front suspension with ATV suspension from my donor frame. Build support frame out of square tubing to support body. I have lots of work ahead of me. Pictures coming later, I never have my camera on me |

Well, I cut the cart in half. Put in some temporary outer supports till I can go buy more steel.
Not replacing the front suspension anymore Body is done except for paint |

Hehe, sweet bodywork!!
I actually thought about doing this cardboard or lightweight wood mockup for a special "Santa's sleigh" body for the cart. Would be fun to cruise the hood in around Christmas time!! |
