Whee is this ground strap to remove , Is it at the black box under the drivers side?
Sorry for all the questions , I am trying t figure this thing out.

The rev limiter is ALL electronic, and turns off the spark when the engine over-revs.
and the governor is on the trans-axle, which also keeps the engine from over reving, (but only if it's adjusted properly).

The ground for the limiter is the 1 and only wire tied to the left mounting bolt on the black box on the lower front of the engine.

Ah HA . I see now. This will be todays project. I will adust the governor and disconnec the rev limiter and see what happens.

I'd suggest leaving your rev limiter intact, and readjusting your governor back to factory specs,
Then you'll have full protection against blowing the engine up!

OR.... You could just go BIGGER, and sell your old... GOOD engine to someone that may need it!

Honestly... I wouldn't want to hear that you got aluminum shrapnel in your A$$ from being irresponsible!

Yeah , It would be cool to put a new CRF 450R engine in it with a 5 speed trans. Or maybe a Hyabusa Iprobably could not afford the tires it would burn off --- HAHAHAHA.
