Default Will my 2001 DS pull 25 inch tires

I am looking at puttin 25 inch tires on my 2001 DS. I already have 23s but I am thinking about stepping up. I am thinking 25s either 10 or 11 inches wide. I am sure that I will loose power, but I do not want to make it undrivable. Any input or pics of carts with 25s on it would be greatly appreciated.

In my opinion... you should be fine! (I had to go back to see what lift you had!)

http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/lifte...cc-ds-gas.html

Yep!... you will lose a little bit of torque, but from 23's to 25's, It may not be that noticeable!
My concern was with what lift you had, (I now know it's an All Sports SS 7.5)

My buddy has that lift with 23's on it, and I feel it has enough clearance for 25's

I have 7" of lift, and 25" tires on my cart, and I have no problems with them!
(Granted, I have an FE350 with "just a few" mods, so I haven't lost much torque.)
BUT... if you do any moderate to heavy off roading, you may get some tire to body scraping, (which... I do, and have!)
So, that may be your biggest concern!

I'd say try it.... but keep your old tires... "Just in case"!

My 22's to 25's:

And my cart with 7" of lift, and 25's:

Wife has given me the green light. Now I just have to decide on 10 or 11 inches wide. Any good places to buy. I am thinking of getting wheels and tires and keeping my 23s on the rims just in case.

I'd go for 10" wide, I have 25X10.50X12 with 1" wheel spacers to keep the front tires from rubbing on the frame rail at a hard turn.

as for "Who" to buy them from.... I always suggest any one of BGW's fine sponsors!

Do some shopping and get your best deal!

THEN... post some pictures of what you got!

Thanks LOCKMAN1 for your input. It has been your post and the search option that has helped me drop my snubber bracket. As far as the air cleaner mod goes great idea on the BandS manifold...but I have a garage full of old motorcycle parts. Then again I am very tight with the local small engines guy.

i'll second the 25" tires. that being said I am running the 25" tires on my cc with the 7.5ss lift. they actually measure out at 24 inches. so you may not be getting what you are actually thinking you are. It would be curious to see if your tires actually measure 23"?

I have drove mine pretty hard and have not had any body or frame rubbing that i cna notice. either in the front or the rear.

sorry can't help on the power issue though. I'm running a b&s 23 twin. no issue there! lol
