Default Key start mod

I know there is a topic about this somewhere here but I can't find it anywhere. I am thinking about doing a key start mod but I'm not sure if it's a good idea or not. I have a 93 gas club car. Also is there a way to do it where it's both key start or pedal start, I can see where they both have their advantages.

Well... it's not exactly a "key start" mod, it's an "idle" mod,

Is this what you were looking for?

Yes lockman1 that's exactly what I was looking for thank you very much. Does adjusting the idle make any difference when you go back to pedal start mode?

If you read later in the thread, some have added a switch to either idle, or pedal stop their carts.

When it's in "normal" mode (pedal stop), it won't idle, it just shuts the engine down,
so no... no difference! (but don't quote me... I haven't tried it, I use the key switch to shut down!)

Yeah I read all of it I just didn't know if adjusting the idle would effect it in any other way since it wasn't made to stay running

It's a great mod and like lockman said I added a switch so when the grand kids ride it wont keep running. As far as the adjustment to throttle I don't see an issue other than if it's hot out side and it is setting still very long it wants to overheat if your not careful. But I have stopped and talked to folks for as long as ten minutes then took of again as long as you get air blowing across the motor it's ok.
