For starters it needs new seat covers and you say the engine burns oil ? An engine rebuild is on the cards, cosmetics are challenged and I see other complications in your future given it's general condition. Wave seven 100 dollar bills in his face while you point out these flaws but don't go more than eight hundred. Just my opinion given current market trends.

Thanks,
He Originally asked $1400, i asked him to work with me on the price and he dropped it to 1200., he stated it has just under 2000 hours on it, i know its not brand new, thus why im not paying brand new prices for it, the bad thing about this, is that he lives about a hour or more away so if he turns me away i have a long empty drive back with a exspensive lesson in fuel, lol...
its been the cheapest i seen on the ads around here most are electric, and even those are 1500 to 2000, and 10 years newer, but i prefer the gasoline ones, im just wondering if he might say i took in account for the seats and anything else into the price, should i then say, forget it ? lol...

Thanks!
Will

Look it over real hard, check for things bent cracked or welds that don't match side to side.
A top end is not hard to rebuild but knocking or rattles mean more.
The value is up to you in the end, a nice box is worth ??? 100 200 dollars. Dicker the best you can and
when you get it home STOP SHOPPING, no I should haves.
Good luck.

An hour or so isn't so bad in the overall scheme of things. I have to do the same thing tomorrow to check out a 96 E**O. No idea as to what the guy wants for it other than "It will be cheap". Curiously, it also has a smoky engine. I'm figuring in the $2-400 region. Long trip with the trailer if the guy has unrealistic expectations.
