Default OBC bad?

I am working on an electric club car for a friend with PLS who needs the cart to get around his property.

Well I thought the problem was simple, I flipped up the seat and the red/positive connectors to the battery bank was corroded with the smaller red off and the larger red came loose when I touched it.

So I got some battery cleaner and connectors and installed them. I then tried to run the cart but the cart just sat there and juddered. The batteries seemed dead. Plugged the charger in and nothing.

Read about resetting the OBC and tried to reset it twice, but the charger still would not come on.

Read about bypassing the switch in the charger. Did that and the charger came on. I let it charge for 10 mins. and the cart worked fine during a brief test.

I also checked the one fuse I could find.

What now? Or is the OBC bad?

Serial # AA0302-245575

Thanks

Did you check the entire battery pack voltage?

Voltage is 46.5 each cell is between 7.71 and 7.80.

What should the voltage be from near zero plus about 30 mins total charge?

Hard to say, the batteries are almost flat. If the charger turns on without jumping the relay, leave it on until it turns itself off ( when the on-charge voltage should be between 59 - 63v.) The charger would not have turned on if the pack voltage was below 32v. If the charger turns on without jumping the relay chances are that the OBC is ok.

Ok i will un-jump the charger and see if it comes on. It wasn't coming on before but I didn't check the voltage then as I didn't bring my tester. I didn't think I would need it.

Probably not much. Those batts will probably charge for 16hrs (I think it will shut off after that)

Ok I rechecked the voltage and it was at 45.7 so I un-jumped the charger and plugged it in. Nothing

Please note in my first post I said I had to jump the charger to get it to work.

I may be wrong but from what I have read the OBC controls the charge function and decides when to turn the charger on and off.

I did. I was just saying that's probably how long they would charge from that state, if everything was working correctly
