Default Jerky start

I just bought a 1992 Yamaha G9A gas cart. My problem is when I put it in gear, it jerks starting out. Once it gets rolling, everything is fine. This is my first gas cart, so I really have no clue what the problem could be.

CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to BGW. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands, girlfirends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

Start by taking off the primary clutch cover, and inspecting the weights. Making sure they all operate the same way. Think you will find one or more to loose or broken. If that is the case, I would replace all three, but most just replace the bad ones.

Then grease both clutches at the zirk fitting on each one. But just one or two pumps of grease in each one!! It's important no more than 1 or2 pumps!!
