Not on the old Alltrax models, they don't use a speed sensor.

Ok, instead of "old", I should have said "Previous" generation.

The new XCT models use the speed sensor or "tach sensor" as they refer to it.

But in neither case it would improve the speed as the RPM limitation only exists in the OEM controller.

The new controls you reference are not available yet...so I guess everything brand new is old?

So a speed magnet wouldn't give me more speed???

Just changed to new Mcor (gen 1 to gen 4 coversion kit)
It wouldn't do nothing in the ezgo setting!!!
Changed back to club car setting and now getting 100% throttle!!!
Put throttle up on 5 and throttle down on 10!!! ( still jumps a little in foward and reverse)
Thanks for your help guys!!!

Yup! It's an MCOR problem. The Curtis is more forgiving of the errant signal.
Glad you upgraded.

Just out of curiosity here. This zip tie trick or piece of rubber hose deal. Does something belong on the lil shaft? Is something there that fails from new? What wears this item to the point of needing this type of shimming? Thanks.

Yes

There is nothing there when new, it is just that the bar will wear down over time and create play
