Yamaha head lights on CC Prededent
I love the look of the front cowls on the Yamaha carts, with the headlights recessed into the front cowl such as these :
http://www.golfcartking.com/Yamaha-G...t-p/02-015.htm Has anyone mounted these or can you on a CC Precedent ? I have a 2014 I don't care about soldering wires etc off needed, I'm just not sure if the curve on the fronts of Yamaha's similar to the Precedent |

I have installed into a Yamaha, but can't help with a Club car.
Sorry |

It certainly looks like they'd be close; I don't ever remember it being done though. You may have to be the guinea pig!

Re: Yamaha head lights on CC Prededent
On the Precedent, you would have to install on the front cowl (not front cowl trim). Underneath the front cowl is the front cowl hood that would have to be cut into as well. When cutting in to this, you would then expose the headlight wiring in to the cubby's of the cart. Anytime you threw something in to the cubby's, you risk messing up the wiring of the lights. I like the look too, but don't see a way to pull it off correctly without giving up the cubby space.

Re: Yamaha head lights on CC Prededent
But if the cubbys cart had a dash on, you wouldn't see the wiring then?
I got a great deal on a 2014 CC, however I think their body's are dated. I don't like their look, and really think their Phantom body's are even more dated look I LOVE the Yamaha carts, they have sleek lines, and love the LED lights that are adjustable in the cowl, rather then having just a cluster hang down like on the CC This bothered me so much I all most didn't buy a Club Car, as I REALLY like the front of the Yamaha's I bought the CC for 2 reasons: Aluminum Frame, and Price. Like I said, I got the cart at wholesale for being a 2014 Soooooo. the question is, you think it would work? |

Re: Yamaha head lights on CC Prededent
It would take some fabricating, no doubt. But, if you could pull it off, I'm sure it would be cool!

Re: Yamaha head lights on CC Prededent
I just went and looked at a Yamaha at a dealer
They front is curved very similar to the CC I think I'll order the kit from Amazon. Because they return everything I'll see if it will for the curve of the front hood before cutting holes etc |

I hope this works out, it will open up a new door in the world of Precedent modding...
