Re: Electric cart trying to make faster HELP
Drive it around streets just looking for little more speed like 5-10 hp Think controller would give more torque though

Re: Electric cart trying to make faster HELP
On my old CC DS, I installed 4 gauge wires, larger rear tires and a 400 amp controller. I also changed my rear end oil to AMSOIL synthetic. I have no idea which one had the most effect, but I do know that I average about 25mph top speed. Speed limit here is 20mph so I don't really need to go any faster. Although, there are plenty of carts that pass me going 30mph. They do issue tickets here though, so I don't aim to throw away $400+ and have to have my cart modified for the court. Shhhhsh, they have no sense of humor.

Re: Electric cart trying to make faster HELP
FYI there is no way on God's green earth a stock series cart is going 25mph with a controller upgrade and oil change so you have more modifications than listed. Perhaps aftermarket motor, motor modification, different drive system, or high speed gears.

Re: Electric cart trying to make faster HELP
I have a 1999 DS regen 2. I put 4 ga cables, removed the 2nd solenoid, unhooked the speed sensor, and have a bandit motor. 18 to 20 mph with stock tires.

Re: Electric cart trying to make faster HELP
I installed a speedy link on my '07 CC DS IQ. I get right at 20 mph. Cart is lifted 7" with 12" wheels. It does slow down on hills though.
