One last thing. Are you sure you are comparing apples to apples. Maybe and this is a big maybe. Does he have the PQ Executioner motor? That motor would give him the extra 5mph uphill.

Unlike a Multi-Step potentiometer, the MCOR should not have a open reading, which would be indicated by 0L on the meter, when the pedal is up.

If the voltage reading on the yellow wire is off, unplug the MCOR 3 pin connector and measure the resistance directly on the MCOR pins that correspond to the Yellow and Green wires as You press the pedal down.

There is not a lot of current that goes through the throttle circuit, so it is very sensitive to bad connections.
I just tested it and it was consistently getting 4.85-4.9v. testing using your original method with yellow wire and pack -

That is great, the resistance does not mean much on the 3 wire throttle.

How is the Current Limit (CL) adjustment screw set on the controller?

The CL is all the way down, which to my knowledge, means turned up to limit of controller. Please correct me if I'm wrong, as I believe I read that off of the sheet that came with controller, but I'm not 100%.

The neighbor is here, just looked under his cart, and it is a PQ bandit. Still not quite apples to apples, as he has a regen stock controller (me series 500a controller), but going up the same hill (with two people on his cart) he was going 3-4 mph faster than me by myself (as measured by gps)

brewginger. Your readings are incorrect for sure and we need to figure out why. Are you sure you've got an MCOR? Confirm your throttle device and we'll work from there.

Guys, I'm sorry all of my posting is late at night, but I'm working on golf cars all day and I'm not able to get near a computer. Business has been wide open lately. Please feel free to call me anytime you guys get in a bind. My number is on the web page.

Absolutely, Positively. You need part number AM293101 if you decide to replace it.

Could corrosion of cables be issue? Cart has been this way since I purchased 4 years ago. Last year when putting in new controller, the #3 wire end just snapped off and I had to crimp a new end on. The voltage going through mcor seems correct, 4.9v, but can't get resistance.

I was looking at am293101, but does that also come with the 2 & 3 pin wiring harnesses to controller, etc?
