Default 99 Yamaha G16 wont start

I'm new to carts and working on them. Bought a used 1999 Yamaha G16 gas for my father. It quit running when he was driving it. I checked the fuel pump, seems to be pumping fuel to carb. Tried removing spark plug added a few drops of fuel, cart started and ran. I drove it quite a while ...10 blocks or so. Ran well. Stopped it and put in garage. Went out to start it again a few days later and it wont start. It turns over just fine. Not sure whats next....or where to start. Carb kit? Fuel filter? Is there a pick up filter/screen in tank? Any help would be appreciated. Thanking you in advance.

Sounds like fuel related problem. Does it have a fuel filter on it? Can you see if there is fuel in it? It could be losing prime in a fuel line.

How old/weak is the battery?

Battery is fine, Fuel filter looks fine...it doesn't fill up, but fuel pump is pumping fuel.
How do you fix losing it's prime?

Filter not being totally full is not a big worry on a cart, as long as it is not empty.

I think first you should start with the basics. Change the plug, clean the carb real good including the jets, make sure you have good strong blue spark.

Can you tell us what color the end of the spark plug looks like?

There is something about the in tank, fuel pick up tube, that can crack and suck air. On the G16 and newer cars.
