G2 Yamaha golf cart
My cart runs good but it gets real hot in the engine compartment I have changed exaust gasket cleaned fins and cleaned out the fan housing any suggestions

check your fuel system , if you have a lean running condition you will get excess heat , clean the carb and see if it improves.

OK thanks for the response I installed a new carburetor and adjusted it to factory setting buy turning screw out 1 and a half

Another issue is if the ignitor goes bad sometimes they run but timing is off. They are expensive. Best to swap one from a friend and try it before you buy one.
Another issue is many G2 have guards under the engine and around the exhaust, G9 don't. It is said G9 run cooler without that stuff that blocks air flow. |
