87 ez go
Hey guys, I just picked up a 1987 gas ez go which is my first cart.My son races motocross and the cart will primarly be used to get us around the track.
Supposedly the cart does run but needs a battery. So here is my question. Is there any reason a jumper pack hooked to the cables wouldn't work to see if it runs.Right now i have spark and gas to the carb but nothing but a occasional back fire. I will check compression tommorow but just wanted to make sure the 12V jumper pack was ok. Thanks and this site is great!! |

Re: 87 ez go
Why is that? I assume its something to do with the generator. How about hooked up direct to a car with cables?

Re: 87 ez go
have you tried the booster pack on it yet? mine would never turn the motor over fast enough to get it to spark enough. does it turn over real fast?

Re: 87 ez go
Yes it turns over fine.I was just making sure there wasnt some stupid electrical reason that a jumper without a battery would prevent it from starting.
