I painted my Precedent with regular old Rustoleum Sunrise Red.
Got a quart and thinned it down with acetone and added a hardener, then sprayed it with HVLP gun.
Let it sit for a week, then wet sanded and polished.
Looks a smooth as an automotive finish now and I can take the cowl off and flex it however I want and the paint has yet to crack.

I shoot tons (literally) of Rustoleum enamel, epoxy and polyurethane a year. If you are happy with their stock colors then it is a hard system to beat.

I used truck undercoating from krylon, will last really long time, you don't need to do much prep as in a shiny finish as it is textured.

I LOVE your mobile paint rack. What is it normally used for and do you sometimes paint outside with it?

Don't paint outside. We will roll painted parts outside once they cure for a while so we can put more parts in the booth. We try to turn the booths twice a day.

My main business is machinery, forms and accessories for the precast/prestressed concrete industry. We also have a independent auto parts store.

WBGoodTimes - I have a Club Car DS extended roof just like yours I'm looking to paint. Did you remove the aluminum frame that surrounds the plastic roof before you painted it? I'll likely be painting with bomb cans, any suggestions on what to use?

I did not remove aluminum but did caulk between it and plastic with paintable caulk.

They offer Bulldog in a spray bomb so I'd hit it with that first. Then prime and paint.

Thanks! I was asking because it looks like it's riveted on.

I like the look of the red roof supports on the DS that's in your profile pic. Gives the cart a nice accent and is giving me ideas for mine.

Sweitzer's painted my body black with blue flames (pictured) - thinking about candy blue roof supports. Saw this bomb can paint in an auto store (pictured) - says it's meant to paint over chrome.

You seem like a paint guy - any suggestions?
