The meter i bought is a Blue Sea made for boats. Splashproof face. Bought it at clearance price for a Franklin shipped. Contacted the company and got my questions answered by a real live person. The only thing they couldn't guarantee is if it would be dead accurate below freezing. Have had no issues so far. [It hasn't been much above 0 for 3 days here.]

Did your instructions mention that you shouldn't use normal wire to connect up the sensing terminals? Should be twisted pair wire [shielded is better] and route it away from any other current carrying wires so it doesn't pick up noise from them. Be sure to post your install when you get it done!
