If you can use a speed magnet, why would anyone limit themselves to the results of speed code 4? The magnet will give you better results. And costs less.

Club Car told me 3 days ago that Club Car does not do the programming stickers anymore. They just give the printout that states "manual supplement." I asked about the stickers and this was their response.

At some point I would like to upgrade to the Plum Quick Bandit but now that the warm weather is here I don't want the downtime waiting to send my motor in to get the bandit upgrade and then have to wait for it returned. I talked to PQ last week and they don't have any in stock spares to exchange.
Have a dealer scan the cart for free. They will tell you what code it is set to.

The main factors to get Speed Code 4 over the Magnet are:
You have an Excel drive system (S/N prefix: PH, PD).
or
You want to retain Regenerative Brake.
The 3 codes shown on Aflyer post are generated based on each Controller unique S/N.

Those codes when entered into the Dealer Programmer allows the Selection of Speed Code 4 (Usually only codes 1-3 are available for selection).

The dealer that sold you the code 4 must provide those codes to You.

There are also other stickers that have to do with liability of the cart now going faster than "Golf Speed" and I thought were mandated by the lawyers.

JordanMLucas, who exactly are You referring to as "Club Car"?

You can also use the Speed Calculator on the "Quick Links" drop down (top-right of navigation bar) to figure out the speed code.

Speed code 3 limits the Motor to approximately 3400 rpm.

The stock final gear ratio is 12.315

Stock tire diameter is 18"

Use your actual tire diameter and the figures above to see how fast your cart could go.

Using the 22" tire diameter puts you around 19mph since the speed regulation is about +-2mph.

My cart does 19 all day long with 22" tires so based on your calculation I must have speed code 3. Is this the standard or did someone have to have it programmed to 3? And if that's the case why would anyone do that, why not just get code 4 from the get go.?

Thanks for the info. I wasn't sure if one mod was better than the other or if a combination of the 2 would give me even better results. Guess I will go ahead and order the speed magnet then. At so.e point I do plan to get a plum quick motor but will settle for the magnet for now. When I do get the plum quick motor will the magnet do anything with that motor or will I no longer need the magnet then?

Speed code 1 through 3 are free, You pay for Speed code 4.

Make sure your cart S/N starts with PQ if you want the speed magnet.
