GE stock motor with Alltrax KCT 500 Amp
This new controller is programmable. I know 500 will be too much, but how many amps can I put into a 5bc59jbs6365 GE motor? I tested today with 400-425 at 72 degrees air temperature, and dialed up max RPMs to about 4800. In about 12 minutes of fooling around on flat ground, testing different throttle curves, I got the motor to 124 degrees F. (using infrared thermometer). Pretty certain I'm maxing it at 425 amps... or close... I'm sure several people's immediate thoughts will be that I have about another hour of fooling around before I kill the motor but I still welcome thoughts!
