Default What year workhorse

just wondering what the first year for the workhorse was? anyway to find out the year for a unknown cart? Thanks BGW

I believe it was 95 but lots of people say 96
last 2 digits of the manufacturing code tell the year

I believe you are correct!! I think 94 was the first year, but I could be wrong, I'm always wrong!!!

They didn't have "workhorses" till the medalist/txt came out but they still made those type of marathons till somewhere around 98. Those where special order carts after 94 and people have always called them workhorses even though I can't find where ezgo ever did with the exception of the 875 model which was included in the workhorse line and is still produced. I use to believe the workhorse line started in 96 till someone showed me a 95. in the pic below the ez-loader is the only one to become part of the workhorse line and is now called the 875 workhorse. sooo whats all this mean I guess I could be wrong and if I am i'm sure someone will be along to tell me.

those look like my GXT-804's ruredy, guess they had to start somewhere, good choice, the 804's are tuff carts, i have 7 804's and they were here from the start of the golf course and that was in 1991. there beat up but they still get the job done
