The flywheel is press fit onto the crank. Once you remove the flywheel the crank should just slide right out.

Once the crank is out, measure it vs. The specs in the manual. If it specs out okay and theres no scoring or damage then it should be good to reuse. If it measures bad, or has scoring then I would get a new one.

How do I remove the flywheel without turning the whole thing

From what I remember, the flywheel on these motors is not press fit to the crank, it should come off once the big bolt is removed. But a three-bolt puller will yank it off pretty easy. It's set up for one.

In the manual they say to use a puller:

Any ideal what size the nut is I’ve tried an 1” (to small) and 1” 1/4 (to big)
