Default 2009 YDRE brake noise

I have an '09 Drive that has brake noise when the cart comes to a stop. Has anyone else had this issue and is there anything to do alleviate it? This is the brake that's in the rear end; any suggestions would be helpful thanks

Those brakes are difficult. If it makes a squawking sound before it stops I’d change the fluid right away and use some friction modifier as well.

You may be looking at a brake job soon, which is very doable but a little difficult. I have a thread on it.

I just posted a new thread because I am having a similar issue. I was told these brakes are very dangerous and could give out at any time. Please let me know if the fluid change helped. I am concerned my inexperience with these sorts of things may be costing me. Thank you

They are not dangerous, and probably won’t fail suddenly. If they are feeling weak it might be time to rebuild them. Really not that hard.

Before I go through what you say isn't a very difficult process of fixing these (I'm not mechanically inclined), I was hoping to hear if the fluid change worked for twilliams81.

A fluid change with some friction modifier may help.

Ive never seen these wear out yet. Its a very stout system. Ive had a friend in the bussiness change one out on a 6 pass that was used at resort. The Cart wont stop when they are worn out. The noise is common and changing the gear oil with the friction modifier as suggested will fix the issue.

I've seen them wear out! Cart was used as a transport vehicle at an apartment complex.
