2007 gas Ez go problem

I just purchased a 2007 gas ez go about 3 weeks ago. It has been running fine. Over the weekend I went up to our campground and we filled it up with fresh fuel. When we went to take it for a ride it did not seemed it wanted to go. We let off the gas and did it again and about 3 times of doing that it moved. When it started to move a bunch of black smoke came out from under it. What could be wrong with it and how to fix it? PLEASE HELP

kinda sounds like it's flooding out, did it smell of gas? Have you cleaned out the carb(maybe trash sticking the float valve open)? do you have a fuel filter on it?

Yes I did smell gas and when you take off there is a puff of black smoke that come out of the exhaust. Yes it has a fuel filter.

black smoke is fuel so for some reason it's flooding out, maybe air filter, carb/choke problem or the fuel isn't getting burned. have you checked or changed plugs and air filter? those would be the first things i'd check.
