Default Anyone have a link for a transmission install

I have a Turf 2 that is not staying in Reverse. I replaced the cable same issue. Seller said he had the synchros replaced same problem. If you hold it in R you can get it to go but sometimes grinds. Took it to a shop but they said gears must be bad and quoted me $2k for a new one, I found a used one that guys says works for $200 actually he sent me 2 of them. I cant find a video or info anywhere on how to pull out my old one and replace it with the one I bought. Im sure I can figure it out but there are always little tricks that make life easier. Any one have a video or link of how to pull the old transmission out and put one back in?

Turns out I bought the wrong transmission anyway. Guy said it was for a gas club car. Apparently not my cart. Even showed the add to the guy at the shop. Guess I won't be going to that shop anymore.

That's an older style, you have the newer unitized style.

Check ebay, theres a seller in arizona that has a few of them for $400 shipped. I just bought one for my DS, waiting for it to come now

my DS does the same thing, but pops out of F under a heavy load. For now I'll keep driving it with no reverse, I put a zip tie on it to hold it into F and no problems

Thanks. Guess I need to put these on ebay or something. Not even sure if they work or not. Was going on what the guy said.

Disconnect the cable from the ball on the shifter and shift it by hand. See if it still pops out. If not, you should be able to adjust the cable and fix it. Little cable adjustments can go a long way

Way past that point with it. Definitely not a cable issue at this point. I've adjusted it, bought a new cable and adjusted it and had a shop adjust it.

Gotcha.

The ones on Ebay for 400 are hub to hub, and about the best price I could find anywhere. Ive been shopping around for a while. Think they started with about a dozen of them. My cart drives fine 98% of the time but under a heavy load pops out of forward. Eventually (depending on where we move) I'm probably going to have to sell it and even though driving around under normal circumstances youd probably never know, I couldnt sell it like that so I'll just put a new one in.

Considering a set of 8:1 gears before I install it though, while its out...

Do you have a link for the one you bought?
