oil coming out the vent hole on fuel pump
1997 Club Car DS, I have owned it for 9 years, it has oil coming out the vent hole on fuel pump, seems to have to much crankcase pressure. It Still runs great and always has. Oil level is fine, the motor is level. After the motor stops it still bleeds pressure threw vent hole. I have looked all over here and didn’t find anything, but I may have over looked or missed it.

Re: oil coming out the vent hole on fuel pump
Did you replace the hose from the crankcase to the pump recently?
If the hose is too long oil will puddle in the hose and can be forced up to the pump when the engine is running. Another thing that comes to mind is the breather hose that runs from the valve cover to the throttle inlet could be plugged up, or the reed valve in the top corner of the head could be stuck. |

Re: oil coming out the vent hole on fuel pump
I took the breather hose that runs from the valve cover to the throttle inlet off, then placed a hose on the top of the carb and blew into it and it seems to be very very hard to blow air into. Should air be easy to blow into this?
Thank you for your help. |

On the black plastic inlet to the carb, yes air should flow very easily through that top nipple. Should be wide open.

seems like spider's built a nest in that hole and made a mess.
Thank you for helping me out. you saved me... Jeff |

No prob buddy! Hope that spider didn’t get into anything else! Might be a good idea to pull the carb off and give it a good cleaning.

Re: oil coming out the vent hole on fuel pump
I've found spider bits (legs, mainly) inside the second fuel filter on a DS. Not entirely certain how they managed to get there, but reinforces the idea that spiders can get in and cause trouble almost anywhere.
