Default Finally installing riot kit JR.

I will be installing the kit over the next few days. (Giving myself a cushion)

Hopefully by tomorrow or Monday.

Here are a few start pictures. Had to remove the rear seat, was about 10-12 bolts.

1 was seized on, so I used a handsaw to cut it off, and need to head to Home Depot to get a replacement.

Wheels should be here Wednesday.

Wife plans on rattle can paint job, so I’ll let her have at it. Worst case we get it professionally painted down the road

Alright, unhooking the engine, everything is labeled, but having trouble figuring out best way to support engine when I’m sliding it off.

Don’t have a jackstand. Right now I’m thinking tow straps and someone holds them.

That’s the last bolt to take off, waiting on a wrench to get that one off.

*What is that black tube I took off that pipe?

I'm interested to see how easy this is, since I have been thinking about a riot Jr as well.

I’m taking the engine off tomorrow need the wife to help support the engine while I take it off.

Motor has been 3 bolts and 4 wires, and one sensor. Very very easy, rear seat was the biggest time consumption right now.

Also make sure you have the tools to do it. 10mm for the engine, one of the 3 nuts sucks getting to

I’m taking the motor out from under the cart, it’s the only way it’ll come out.

(Just need to see if I need to jack the cart up or not. If I don’t I should be able to do it tomorrow while the kid naps)

Save yourself the trouble. Remove the rear body. Takes 15 minutes. Easy after.

Will need to jack it up. I use "mule tape" configured as a "choker" (like a dog leash with the strap back through the handle loop). And I actually have a dog leash that I use as such. Some heavy motors require more than 1 strap.

Finally done, took about 5 hours, dicked around some Had a few beers, ran to Home Depot to get a soldering tool.

Cart is quicker at half pedal, then it was at full pedal on the old engine

Old 10-11 top speed
Riot kit jr 11-12 half pedal no problem with much more torque.

I hate this 50 mile break in. Already did 3.5 real quick on it before kid goes to bed.

Finally getting the wheels on, and I got no rub on the rear. But that’s without any seat. I had my wife step in the bag area, and still no rub. Gives me
Hope
