Re: 1985 oil injection
by all means, YES - just pull the pump (and reservoir, if desired) then plug the inlet hole on your intake and you're no longer going to have to worry.
Oil ratio is 128:1 per EZGO (1oz 2s oil per gallon of raw gas) Welcome to the forum! |

Re: 1985 oil injection
Okay just to be sure, i'm not a wrench, from oil tank tube goes to pump on the front lower part of motor then tube goes to top of the motor, looks to be a banjo bolt into top of motor, pull all this off and get a bolt to plug hole in top --sound correct? Thanks terry---

Re: 1985 oil injection
You got it. You can also tidy up by removing the oil tank and the oil pump.

yes dump the injection system.......go with amesoil and just mix 8 oz,s to 6 gal of gas and you can use that in every 2 cycle you have no matter what the mix ratio calls for.......been using this for years and i use 1 gas can and fill everything i have from it ..............from my 2 cycle weed eater to by boat moters large and small.............and e-z go golfcart ........have never had a single issue with anything.......8 oz amesoil to 6 gal of gas....................

Re: 1985 oil injection
An old thread resurrected by a mechanical dummy.... I recently bought an '83 with oil pump still installed and working. I'm going to remove it immediately and premix. I understand plugging the oil inlet hole, but what am I going to find underneath the pump when I remove it? Do I need to plug or cover something there?

Re: 1985 oil injection
Nope,Nothing there, other than a drive-tang.Just remove the pump,plumbing,etc..You can leave the fitting on the intake, just get a Vacuum-Line Cap that fits the hose-barb and you're good to go!
