When the F&R contacts get hot enough to melt the housing they sink and lean in the plastic. This causes the misalignment and loss of contact. you can replace the switch and hope for the best.
But even in stock carts once this happens it will likely happen again if the switch is not upgraded, sometimes a cable upgrade is needed also. Basically this problem is telling you that your F&R is a bottle neck for the amperage flow to the motor. This bottleneck is causing heat. |

I have customers with stock carts that can burn up a regular duty switch in a years time. It just has to do with load and amperage flow. Which is why it might be best if you upgrade all the cables to 4g welding cable also. Until the whole system is upgraded there is always a weakest link.
