Re: Lizard Leg's Upgrades
Why don't you chop the rear supports 2 inches and the front 3 inches? That'll give you the raked look you are looking for!

Re: Lizard Leg's Upgrades
The front shocks are KYB 343219, about $75 a set at Advance Auto, but had a coupon and other discounts so got them for about $45 a set.
Rear shocks are Monroe 31069 - about $50 a set from O'Reilly. Ride is really stiff with the HD springs and shocks, but for what I was looking for, they are perfect. Mine does get ridden on the street, but mainly used in the woods and off roads at low speed so I need something to keep me from bottoming out. The Grant steering wheel adapter I bought from my local shop (impulse buy - he had it laying on the counter) and the steering wheel came from O'Reilly. |

Re: Lizard Leg's Upgrades
THanks Lizard, is there a part # or model for that adapter, all the ones I see are labeled for specific models of cars??

Re: Lizard Leg's Upgrades
Not real sure what the part number is - no longer have the box. Seems like these are pretty common...

Re: Lizard Leg's Upgrades
Lizardlegs,
I found the info on lowering the roof. Do a search for "My cart now fits in my camper". Shows a hinged support used to lower the roof 3" made by XT Inovations. You can lower your roof for trail riding and raise it back up when you want to. Boh |

Re: Lizard Leg's Upgrades
Took the front end apart this afternoon to try to decrease the thunk and rattle while trying to sneak over bumps in the woods.
Where the area circled is (king pin?) there was a lot of up and down motion - took it apart, hit TSC for a couple of bushings and 80-90% of my noise from up front is gone. Then I had to take it into tha' stank for a little while |

Re: Lizard Leg's Upgrades
Good to know!! I noticed mine have up and down play too. Almost like it needs thrust washers on the top and bottom not just the top. Can you post pics of the bushings you used? Thanks
