What is the strand count on said audio cables?

Gorno the insulation is crap. More for looks than functionality.

No idea on that one. I have dabbled in high end car audio for about 20 years or so now. So I know that wire itself is quality just no idea bought the insulation.

Well some of it is quality. A lot of the wires you get have more insulation than actual wire. With out paying a crap load of money for audio cable what the companies call 0 gauge and 4 gauge are not actually true statements. Yes they are the size of 0 an 4 gauge bu the majority is made up of cheesy insulation.

The audio cable I work with has a strand count of 5000+.
The price of that is outrageous tho.

The insulation on audio cable is not designed for a work environment and to withstand acidic fumes all the time. It's for appearance. Don't get me wrong it looks great and is great, just not suited for this application. But................ Do as you wish!
