i recently traded work for an 89 ezgo resistor cart. to the say the least, it need some help. it was missing wires, no solenoid, missing a lug on the f/r switch....it needed some help. i got it rewired thanks to you guys at bgw new f/r switch, new solenoid, a few new wires, now its rolling, but the resistor wires are glowing red(?). also the swiper wire to the solenoid is very hot after being in gear for few seconds. please help if you can. i am new to carts so please bare with me

the glowing resistor is normal. The resistor takes the energy from the 36v that isn't being used when the pedal is being partially compressed. The only way for the energy to be given off is by giving off heat. If you floor it, the resistors are bypassed and they won't heat up.

thank you. i jacked it up n floored it and noticed that they were just hot and not glowing anymore. now i know why. what about the swiper wire being so hot though?
