The meters that you sell, can you hook them up to the green wire and only come on when the switch is turned on?

Yes, you can.

It is a simple 2 wire connection. Run the positive wire from the key switch and the negative from the battery pack main.

Default Re: Battery Meter Wiring Diagram
This is the first meter install thread that I've seen which addresses the voltage issue, so I thought I might pose a question about my 36v LED battery meter. On these there are three terminals on the back, two of which are positive. Obviously, the + and - terminals are wired to the 36v positive and negative as described above. However, I'm confused about the terminal labeled "C", which is supposed to be hooked up to the positive coming from the ignition. Should this switched hot wire be 12v or 36v?

I'm hijacking this one.... my blue wire at the switch had batt. pack voltage 38.4. my green wire had 29.2 when switch was off.... anybody have an idea why??? I just installed my meter today and it only shines when the switch is on but I was just curoius why I had a reading on the green wire

I wired up a battery meter this weekend, but couldnt find the voltage on the two wires on the keyswitch ( which by the way is a big pain to get to and put back in)...then I remembered I didnt have my neg part of my probe to the main pack negative..DUH!!

I have an EZGO 2008 PDS..my keyswitch has two wires, both connected in by spade bits. How would you connect the red wire to one with a spade bit?

Thanks

Remove the existing spade bit, twist the two wires together, crimp on a new spade bit. Done.
