Rotating batteries in the pack
Some time this week ill be pulling my pack to do some chassis work/clean up. While they're out ill maintain them by rotation on my 12v battery tender.
My question is regarding that rotation and ultimately when I put them back in....is there an advantage and or disadvantage to rotating them (by purpose or by accident)? Just asking so I know whether I should mark them before I pull them. Thanks as always! |

Re: Rotating batteries in the pack
Since they are all cells connected in series, I don't see any reason to move them around. It won't hurt anything either, if you do.
Just make sure to make a wiring diagram or take a pic of the wiring layout before you remove anything, so you get everything connected back properly! :) |

Re: Rotating batteries in the pack
Check them all and put the lowest battery where it will be easiest to remove should you have to replace it down the road.
Other than that I see no advantage to shuffling them or maintaining the current positions. |

Re: Rotating batteries in the pack
If you have your pack tapped for 12 volt accessories, this would be a good time to rotate those two out and put a different pair in. - RAY
