Default Spring rearching?

Anyone have experience with having springs Rearched?
I've got 1999 txt with flat springs looking to add few inches. but i fear the hd would be too stiff.
Thinking about rearching and maybe adding a leaf.
Thoughts?
Experience?

They make coil over shocks that will accomplish the same thing. Rearching weakens the material, (yes I do know this is an arguable statement), and the springs are very short. I would that going the way of the rearch would not be a long term fix.
You could also just replace the stock springs with new ones. But, I think you might find them a bit flat too.

do you have a rear seat/bed, or alike.

if so the added weight of the add on has weakened the already weak oem springs. I would install the HD springs. They dont ride that rough.

I do not have rear seat. Just noticed its super low to ground. Only drive this cart around lake fire roads and trails so looking to raise it up and avoid tires (stock) hitting finders in bumpy sections. without creating a harsh ride.
I'll check out the coil overs. Thanks.
