Default 2008 RXV wheel question/

Looking at getting new rims for my non lifted 2008 RXV. Im looking at getting rims that are 12x7. They come in a 3.5+3.5 and 2+5 offset. I guess my question is has anyone tried a 12x7 rim with a 3.5+3.5 offset?

Mine have a 3+5 offset to give you an idea. The 3.5+3.5 should sit just about flush.

Pay attention to the rear tires more than the front as the jakes lift makes the front stick out more than factory.

My RXV will not be lifted. I am getting lo-pro tires 205/30-12.

I saw that from the first post. I was giving you a reference on how the wheel should would sit vs. stock. The rear offset is not changed with the lift, only the front. I think the 3.5+3.5 will sit almost flush, maybe even a little out 1/4-1/" out.

Oh, i apologize. Wasnt sure what you were trying to point out. I was just worried about the front tires rubbing since the rims and tires are more tucked in than the 2+5 offset. THe rims on your cart are friggin sweet by the way.

Stock RXV can handle 14" wheels with low pro tires. Looks awesome just putting my 2 cents in.

14" wheels do look cool but the selection is pretty limited. I thought about 14", but couldnt find ones i like.

Let me ask a stupid question. What exactly is 3.5 + 3.5 and 2 + 5?

I'm going to go ahead and guess that is the amount of offset inches the wheels have? You would put the 2 on the front and the 5 on the back because the front tires are naturally wider (especially lifted) and the 5 inch rear offset makes the tires line up more "evenly"? That's just my guess.

The offset refers to the location of the center or mounting surface of the wheel. In the case of a 3.5x3.5 the wheel mounts centered on the bolt-up surface (brake drum or hub flange). In the case of a 2x5 the wheel would be out set 3 inches.
