I took the reeds out, they looked to be in good shape and pretty clean. I sprayed and wiped them and flipped them over in the body. Dont think this was my problem. Im in the process of painting and putting a bigger battery in, so I will have to wa it and see if it helped any. Thanks for the help.The reeds are metal and in good condition so im not gonna put the boyesen reeds in it.

I've read that as long as they're flat and not bent, broke or have stuff stuck in them they are fine.

Yeah I was actually surprised at how clean the fuel system was! I rigged the lawn mower battery back in it and it actually ran the best it has since ive owned it. It still wants to bog down when taking off on hills but not all the time. My wife and kids rode it around for about an hour so I guess its as good as its gna get! Im gonna put the new car battery in it and take it out myself and beat on it! If it survives that im satisfied!
