PDS or DCS
I have an EZ-GO 96 TXT with no tow/maintenance switch. Where can I find the wiring diagram for this unit?

Welcome to BGW!
If your cart is a '96 and has NO Run/Tow switch it is a Series cart. Wiring diagrams can be found in the Stickies section of this forum area. |

Re: PDS or DCS
OK thanks, how do I determine DCS or non DCS? I just replaced a damaged reed switch and hit the pedal and "poof" popped the switch again.....WTH? It also has a new solenoid in it.

Re: PDS or DCS
Non DCS was just the stupidest way they could say Series.
DCS and PDS are Sepex (separately excited) motor systems and series is well series motor drive systems...or non DCS |

Re: PDS or DCS
Scotty B thank you......that is a stupid way of saying non-DCS.or Series. Im SURE there is a perfectly good reason they did that????????? Anyway...I fixed my problem. The bone head that replaced my solenoid put the diode in backwards. I bypassed the reed switch and turned the diode around and walahhh!!! Im on the road cruisin...but wait the tires I bought are too big for the bumpers. LIft kit? Ya I think so. Beach cruise here I come.

Quote:
Taller tires will give you more speed with the same motor RPM, but reduces torque proportionally to speed gain A controller that allows the motor to draw more amps, will recover the lost torque, but won't make the motor spin faster. For series wound motors: Amps = Torque Volts = RPM |
